About NMBHGC

The New Mexico Big Horn Gun Club (NMBHGC) was founded by several local black powder shooters in 1977. The club is a non-profit corporation, and is NRA affiliated. Club membership is open to the public, and new members are always welcomed. Our members come from all surrounding communities, including Edgewood, Moriarty, Tijeras, and Albuquerque.

The purpose of the NMBHGC is to promote the shooting sports and to provide safe range facilities for the enjoyment of its membership. The club sponsors various special events and activities throughout the year, including it’s annual black powder rendezvous, “The Cache Le Plew.”

Website Updates

You may have noticed several recent changes to the site over the past couple of weeks. The site has been relocated, and is again being actively maintained. Several areas of the site have been updated and new features have been added.

Photo Album – The new photo album is now live. Google has discontinued their Picasa Web Album service, which is where the previous album was hosted. Unfortunately, many of the photos in the old web album are now no longer accessible. Please contact the webmaster if you would like to add photos to the album.

NMBHGC Forum – The NMBHGC Forum is available to discuss matters related to the club, this website, or to read and post classifieds. Please keep in mind that discussions in this forum are informal. This forum replaces the previous method for posting items for sale or trade.

If you have any questions or comments about the site, feel free to contact the webmaster at any time.

Please check the site regularly for club announcements, and updates. Also don’t forget to check the calendar for more information on scheduled club activities and events.
