FOUND GUN AT THE 50 YARD RANGE ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 22. IF YOU HAVE LEFT A GUN AT THE RANGE, PLEASE CALL TOM LUKER TO IDENTIFY AND CLAIM – 505-414-3140

Information for Concealed Carry Weapon holders

New Mexico changed the law which now requires New Mexico Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) holders to requalify at a range with a NM DPS certified firearm instructor two years after the issue of their license.

Effective June 30, 2023, the two year refresher course will no longer be offered online by DPS. Contact a DPS approved instructor to complete the training course. Submit training certificates to DPS within 30 days of receipt, as per 29-19-6 H NMSA 1978

ROAD CONDITIONS

During rainy and snowy days, just because you can make it down the road doesn’t mean you should try. Torrance County has asked that we respect the road conditions by not tearing up the county park road. Please check on weather at the range prior to leaving for the range. The roads can be muddy at the range even though the rest of the county has good roads.

Dr. Orick-Martinez is holding a “drop in” 2 year requalifying event on Saturday July 26th 11 AM – 2 PM at Big Horn Gun Club CCW range. All you need to bring is your firearm, 50 rounds of ammunition per firearm, eye and ear protection and your CCW license. Dr. Lisa will take care of the rest. If you need to requalify (or refresh) on two action types, it will still be $20.

Non-Members will be charged $40

Contact Dr. Orick-Martinez at (505) 450-5472 or DrOrickMartinez@yahoo.com for more information.
